Adapted from Xiaoding’s novel of the same name, Jade Dynasty I is an ancient fantasy film, directed by Cheng Xiaodong and co-starring by Xiaozhan, Liqin, Meng meiqi, guest starring by Tang Yixin. It told the story of an ordinary young man Zhang Xiaofan entered Qingyun Guild after experiencing a massacre in Caomiao Village and accidently got the magic weapon – a fire stick, then he was involved into the war between good and evil. As an ancient fantasy film, the movie contains many FX elements, realistic environment and CG characters are seamlessly integrated. VHQ has produced more than 1300 FX shots, which basically accounts about 1/3 of the whole film.
