Defying the Storm

The story takes place during the national disaster of 1937-1945. It tells the story of the choices and sacrifices made by two generations of three intellectual families in Peiping in the face of the great upheavals and changes of The Times. Some choose to protect the Chinese culture and continue the cultural blood; Some choose to write to join the army and save the country. They are not only idealists, but also realistic people. They tried their best to save the nation, actively explored the road to national development, and finally went to the bright.
